Ingenieurbüro für Akustik (acoustics engineering consultancy), now in the second generation, offers you the best possible independent, cost-effective and legally sound consulting, planning and expert reporting for sound immission control, architectural acoustics and room acoustics.

Our consultancy is notified as a measuring agency for the determination of noise emissions and immissions pursuant to §§ 26, 28 of the German Federal Immissions Control Act (BImSchG) and works within the constraints of a quality management system compliant with EN ISO/IEC 17025.

To protect against unreasonable noise the legislature has issued separate regulations for the different types of noise, such as:

  • road and rail traffic,
  • commercial and industrial facilities,
  • wind turbines,
  • firing ranges,
  • recreational or sports facilities,
  • building sites and
  • workplaces,

for example.

In terms of sound immission control we compile sound propagation and immission forecasts for licensing and land-use procedures, and planning approval procedures, etc. If required, we compile suitable sound control measures in collaboration with you, the client, and examine their effectiveness. We measure noise emissions and noise immissions. We explain the results thoroughly to you and describe them in acoustics statements or expert reports.

We measure the acoustic properties of wind turbines, compile forecast analyses and advise you during planning and in the compilation of the acoustic-related content of agreements. In addition to this, we analyse the shadow flicker of planned and existing wind turbines.

When planning or refurbishing buildings we advise you comprehensively on architectural acoustics. In collaboration with you, we develop target values and compile component catalogues. During construction we carry out confirmation measurements and monitor execution quality. Following completion we carry out acceptance measurements to demonstrate that contractually agreed or public law requirements have been met. In many cases we can non-destructively identify any construction faults based solely on the measurement results.

In room acoustics we compile concepts for all types of rooms (offices, schools, multi-purpose facilities, churches, meeting rooms, auditoriums, etc.). We record the as-is situation, if possible by measurements, compile analysis models and develop solutions for achieving the target values. Here, you can listen to the difference between a room with poor room acoustics and one with good room acoustics.
